I have a theory that we are consciousness representing itself in the physical as a way to understand and experience itself in as many ways as possible.
Looking through time at the metaphors and meanings we’ve created for ourselves, ideas that we believe to be similar to what and who we are, created as a function of some form or another, sometimes as pure curiosity, sometimes with a very particular end in mind, I can’t help but believe that we create as a way to understand ourselves.
But my belief goes beyond simple representation and into a new field that might not even exist yet, and that’s the use of metaphor to awaken particular insights of our being.
Write the essay, but be serious about it and make it masterful.
